Ensemble Telemann is a registered charitable organization dedicated to promoting musical culture, particularly baroque and classical music. Founded in 1992, this instrumental and choral group brings together professional musicians and singers who specialize in repertoire from the mid-17th to late 18th centuries. Their mission focuses on performing high-standard concerts and reviving lesser-known works of the baroque repertoire while also performing broader classical compositions.

The Ensemble Telemann primarily serves audiences in Montérégie, including Saint-Lambert, Quebec, as well as the greater Montreal area. They regularly perform in Saint-Lambert, which has been home to the ensemble since its founding by Rafik Matta, who continues as its conductor and artistic director. The group has expanded its reach by performing throughout the Montreal region, bringing baroque and classical music to wider Canadian audiences.

Program highlights include numerous first-time performances in Montreal and North America of significant classical works. The ensemble presented the first Quebec performance of Haydn's "La Création" on period instruments in 2022. They have performed Bach's sacred cantatas, Orchestral Suites, Brandenburg concertos, Handel's Messiah, and Bach's Mass in B minor. The group has released two acclaimed CDs: "L'oratorio de Noël de Bach" and "Bach & Purcell". They typically present one or two concerts annually and celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2017.
