The Group's Purpose
Welcome to the official Men's National Field Hockey Team fundraising page. Our group is comprised of athletes from across Canada, who dedicate their lives to representing our country on the international stage. We rely on the generous support of not only government funding, but also the field hockey community at-large. We thank you for supporting our dream.
All funds collected through our group will aid our team's goal to win Pan-Am Gold in 2015, and represent Canada in the Olympic Games in 2016. Over the coming months, we will be posting team goals and challenges for our supporters.
Through your support, we can fund our pursuits, make you all proud and hopefully inspire the next generation of field hockey stars along the way.
All funds raised through this group will directly support the Men's National Team.
How to Help
There are a number of ways you can support our team:
1. Make a tax-receipted donation. Let's start small and build support one dollar at a time. Every bit helps.
2. Join our group. Throughout our "Road to Rio" we will be sending messages to our group members, outlining our goals and providing updates on our results. We will also be inviting our supporters to participate in some unique and engaging fundraising initiatives.
3. Share our group with your friends/family. We'd love to grow our group and build a team of supporters!
About the Organizers
The Men's National Team has a proud heritage. Since our first appearance at the 1964 Olympics, the Canadian Men's Field Hockey Team has always competed amongst the upper-echelons of world hockey.
In the face of recent drastic funding cuts, we are inspired by the challenge of continuing to pursue our goals. To ensure long term success, we recognize the need to create opportunities for the development of athletes at all skill levels. Canada’s national athletes were once rookies at a club, inspired by the thought of representing their country. As elite-level athletes, we continue fighting for that dream - and ignite that flame in future generations.
