Protect. Educate. Empower.

It's what we did for 2.3 million children last year. Our programs protect, educate, and empower children so they can heal from the harsh realities of war and abuse, protect themselves from disease and go to school, so they can create a better future for themselves and their communities.

We bring the power of play to the following 15 countries, each with their own set of challenges for children: Mali, Jordan, Thailand, Mozambique, Palestinian Territories, Uganda, Rwanda, Canada, Senegal, Burundi, Pakistan, Tanzania, Lebanon, Ethiopia and Ghana.

In these countries, we empower girls to resist early marriage and to continue their education. We help child laborers return to school and inspire refugee youth living in dire camp conditions to heal and succeed. We teach children how to protect themselves from diseases like HIV, malaria, and COVID-19. When the pandemic hit, we adapted our programming to include remote and virtual learning, helping to teach hygiene practices and helping children stay physically active and mentally healthy during lockdown.

In Canada, we partner with more than 70 Indigenous communities to run weekly play-based programs that build self-confidence while providing access to physical activity, healthy food, homework support, mentorship and skills training. As a partner organization, we are committed to honouring truth and reconciliation, and providing Indigenous children and youth with culturally relevant program opportunities.
