Louise Behan Grant 2022, the WFSJ announced the winners of the second round of grants given to science writers in low and middle income countries to support their work on promising stories in different fields. Abel Prize - Mark a mathematical milestone ? in person! Two travel grants offered to members of WFSJ in 2022. Letten prize webinar: The WFSJ will host a series of exclusive interviews with the winner and runners-up of this year?s Letten Prize. Global Science Journalism Report 2022: The results of this initial survey were interpreted to produce an academic publication, which members of the WFSJ will be able to review and discuss in future meetings. Kavli Prize Week 2022 was held in Norway. Since 2012, 25 fellows ? science journalists from all over the world ? have had the unique opportunity to attend and report on the excellence in science from Norway. Moving forward with the WCSJ 2023 conference in Medellin taking place in March 2023.

WHO: The WFSJ?s Health Committee has embarked on a project with the World Health Organisation (WHO). The WHO has laid plans to improve science communication with a manual targeting a range of actors. Since 2021 Spark Grant Initiative offered grants for proposals that would be far broader in scope and impact than any individual efforts in science reporting. See winners and projects on our website. The new WFSJ Solidarity Fund has so far supported 13 science journalists from Ukraine, Rwanda, and Malawi who are facing great difficulties. UN Consultative Status: In practice, this means representatives of the WFSJ will be able to attend UN-organized conferences and events, where they can offer written or oral statements and even organize side events. September 2022. WSF Grant Scheme for Journalists - Created by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of the government of South Africa, the annual Science Forum South Africa (SFSA) meeting is the largest pan-African general science gathering dedicated to scientific research and innovation
