The Group's Purpose
For the past few months, I have been working on a fundraiser for the CKNW Kids Fund. As you may know, last year, I decided I wanted to walk a marathon - 42km, which I did in one day. Afterwards, I realized that I should have done it to raise money for charity, and so now I'm increasing my goal. This time, I plan to walk 75km in one day, as well as raise $10,000 for families who need it. I'll also be working with some friends to make a movie out of the adventure, which will hopefully be done in time for the annual CKNW KidsFund Pledge Day (early December 2020).
I was hoping you would be willing to sponsor me and my project. As mentioned, the goal is $10,000, and this money will go directly to the charity to help give scholarships, specialised medical equipment, innovative therapies, programs for at-risk yourh and much more!

About the Organizers
My name is Jack, and I'm a teenager from Vancouver. I'm currently in grade 9 at Jules Verne Secondary School. During this project, I will be working with my friends Yannick, Antoine and Alex to film and edit a documentary about this walk, and how it came to be! Look forward to it!
The CKNW Kids Fund is an organisation that has done immeasurable amounts of good, right in our communities, all over BC. Whether it's financing medical operations, wheelchairs, supporting kids and their families, giving them otherwise impossible experiences like the Picnic at Playland or otherwise, this charity has been helping out in our neighbourhoods for 75 years. Furthermore, the charity is sponsored by CKNW radio which also does a lot of work advertising, running phone lines etc. on pledge day, as well as raise awareness about these children who need support.
