The Aslan 3 Peak Challenge was a fundraising hike on September 8th 2023 in memory of Aslan Jaipaul.
Aslan was courageous and brave - and his legacy inspired a group of us to hike 3 Rocky Mountain peaks in 1 day to raise money for a scholarship in his name.

Aslan was courageous and brave - and his legacy inspired a group of us to hike 3 Rocky Mountain peaks in 1 day to raise money for a scholarship in his name.
The Hike
In 1 epic day on September 9th 2023, we hiked up 3 great Rocky Mountain peaks:
1) Ha Ling Mountain, which is literally a straight line up.
2) Tunnel Mountain, which is a powerful, little bump right outside of Banff
3) Cirque Peak, which is 8 hours, and a never-ending long distance huge hike!
Anyone of these would make for a great day hike, but all 3?
YIKES!
Over 60,000 steps, 27km and 2100 meters of elevation.
We're now officially (*until proven otherwise) the only humans to ever do those 3 peaks in 1 day.
Fundraising For A Scholarship
All funds donated will go to the Aslan Jaipaul Scholarship, which awards a yearly scholarship to a deserving high school student who has overcome obstacles in their journey to graduation.
Every $1000 raised allows us to support another student.
We gave away the first Aslan scholarship in 2023 and all the fundraised monies will go to Ponoka Secondary Campus students in 2024.
