Welcome to the official fundraising page of the Canadian Women's Indoor Field Hockey Team. Your support will help our athletes as we prepare to represent Canada at the 2015 World Cup!
The Group's Purpose
We started this group to raise funds for the Pan Am Cup, and it was a huge factor in our ability to cover all our costs when we were in Uruguay. Our Gold medal at the Pan Am Cup was a huge accomplishment, and now we are pushing forward and have started preparing for the World Cup.
As a self-funded team, we cover the costs of our own training, equipment, travel and gym space. These costs can add up so we've decided to start a giving group to raise money as a team and lower the cost of participating for each athlete.
We appreciate all of your support, and will update our group with our progress as we continue our journey towards Leipzig.
How to Help
Your support can come in many forms:
1. Donate to our group. All donations are 100% tax-receipted.
2. Donate a raffle item for the raffle sale we are holding during our series against the USA March 15/16.
3. Attend our fundraising events. Information will be posted on the group and send out to all our group members.
4. Share our group with your friends/family. We'd love to grow our group and build a team of supporters!
Over the coming months, we will be posting team goals and challenges for our supporters.
All funds raised through our group will aid our team's goal to place in the top 6 represent Canada proudly in the 2015 World Cup.
About the Organizers
The Women's Indoor Field Hockey Team is based in Toronto, Canada and has a number of veterans from the 2011 team. Our players have and still do play in the NCAA, CIS and on club teams across Ontario. We train and compete together and last April we accomplished our first goal of winning the Pan American Cup! We have started a new cycle of training and are excited to see what we can accomplish this February in Leipzig at the World Cup.
