Driving Inclusion
Road To Racing is committed to building a more diverse and inclusive sport, breaking down the stereotypes associated with a career in motorsports and encouraging people from all backgrounds to get involved. We want to improve access for under-represented drivers finding their way through the motorsports ladder in Canada and ultimately to professional racing.
About Mayer
Mayer is a fierce competitor, keeping his professional demeanor in his wins and his positive attitude when the race doesn’t go his way. Mayer’s motto is ‘hard work brings ease’ and ‘champions aren’t built over night’. In 2022 Mayer moved up to the junior field, now driving at 120 km/hr he was crowned Jr Kartstars National Champion in his first year. in 2024 Mayer is moving up to the Toyo F1600 Championship!
For Donors
All donations instantly receive a charitable tax receipt. Road To Racing is an Amateur Athletics Association, with the mandate to support amateur motorsports athletes across Canada.
As per CRA requirements, Donors can indicate their program preference for how a charity will apply their donation (in this case to Mayer Deonarine), but ultimate authority on the use of the resources must rest with the charity.
If the charity does not use the donation in the way the donors prefer, the charity will not return the donation to the donors. For example if the driver decides not to race, the remaining funds would remain with R2R for other scholarships.
