Who We Are
For more than 25 years, Sport Calgary has been the connector, convener, and champion of community sport in Calgary. Working across all sports, ages, and abilities, we help create opportunities for participation, strengthen sport organizations, and build a more connected and active city.
As Calgary continues to grow, so does the demand for accessible, affordable, and inclusive sport opportunities. Sport Calgary helps meet this need by connecting people to programs, supporting community sport organizations, and creating opportunities for more Calgarians to get active and experience the benefits of sport.
Our Impact
Each year, Sport Calgary:
Connects more than 25,000 participants to sport opportunities
Delivers and supports more than 353 community sport programs for over 11,000 people
Works with over 1,100 members and partners across the sport sector
Creates free and low-barrier opportunities through initiatives such as All Sport One Day events, All Sport One Community, and the Play for All Grant Program

1) Increase Access - Create more free and affordable opportunities for children, youth, families, and underserved communities to participate in sport.
2) Strengthen Community Sport - Provide resources, education, and support to local sport organizations delivering programs across Calgary.
3) Advance Inclusion - Reduce barriers and create welcoming opportunities for newcomers, girls and women, Indigenous peoples, people living with disabilities, and other equity-deserving groups.
