Who is Shuswap Food Action Society?
Shuswap Food Action Society is a registered charity that acts as a third-party meal provider for school district 83, delivering ready-to-eat hot soup and entrees, along with buns and fruit, to schools. They purchase from local farmers and producers, whenever possible, and make the soups at Zest Food Hub, a commercial kitchen space in Salmon Arm, BC.
Why we appreciate your donation
Shuswap Food Action believes everybody deserves access to nourishing foods. Offered universal programs, free of charge, reduces barriers to participation for all students. We believe this is important to build community in our classrooms and schools, reduce stigma and ensure participation. Your contribution helps to ensure we have the financial resources to continue offering our programs in this way
