Sandy Oshiro Rosen is the founder of Dance Barn Studios, the Mirror Dance Program and now Bez Arts Hub and Bez Mentorship. She spends much of her time caring for the bodies and emotional well-being of many and is a seasoned dance director and a long-time arts mentor.
Sandy's primary work is walking with artists through deep, personal relationship in the context of community, that counsels and heals, that directs and advises.
She is a teacher;
Training them to develop in their artistic expression with excellence - formal training in the skill of the art; critiquing and honing artistsʼ projects. Learning to be good listeners in the creative process.
She is a practitioner;
Developing practical and experiential opportunities to use artistic expression in “itinerant learning” through transformational arts initiatives in this nation and abroad (eg. Olympics, international exchanges and, Dance Productions on city stages).
She is a cheerleader;
Standing with, raising support for, and promoting those artists who are already pursuing art as their profession and are influencing culture through their art. Sandy is also an author (Bare: The Misplaced Art of Grieving and Dancing), singer-songwriter and Creative Director.
