The 2023 Rotary District 5040 Conference is being held in Vancouver April 29 to 31. On Sunday there will be a presentation regarding The Rotary Hoop-A-Thon for Local Communities. Learn how your Club can join the project - watch a mini Hoop-A-Thon - and make a donation to Food Banks BC.
Rotary District 5040 Hoop-A-Thon Supports Food Banks BC
On Sunday, during the 2023 Rotary District 5040 Conference there will be a presentation regarding The Rotary Hoop-A-Thon for Local Communities - a project driven by The Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise. The Hoop-A-Thon has grown to include 10 Rotary, Interactor and Rotaractor Clubs in Vancouver, plus other communities within Rotary District 5040. We hope to attract more Clubs in 2024. There will be a mini-Hoop-A-Thon event on Sunday morning, where Past District Governor Lorne Calder, District Governor Elect Shirley-Pat Chamberlain and District Rotaract Chair Ron Suzuki will shoot baskets, trying to sink as many free-throws in one minute. Please make a donation or pledge on their behalf. All money raised at the Conference Hoop-A-Thon will go towards Food Banks BC. Please click on the “Give” button and make a donation online.
