Ricky and Karen Sanchez have served as missionaries in Thailand for over 25 years. They church plant, run an orphanage for HIV+ children (Abundant Life Home), and lead global sports ministries using basketball to share the good news of Christ. They also help Thai women out of the sex trade.
The Group's Purpose
We partner with people to church plant and create family homes for HIV+ orphans in Thailand and Cambodia. As YWAMers, we desire to be part of changing people's lives, and we are grateful for you coming along side us to reach SE Asia with the Good News of Christ.
How to Help
Every day, we ask God to help us change lives by caring for those in need and by sharing our faith. Your giving and prayers empowers us to continue the important work God is doing in Thailand! Please come join us as a volunteer or on a team; we accept all types of teams...all ages, time periods and skill sets! We enjoy hosting families looking for a family mission trip to serve God together, or church/school teams looking to help serve in Thailand or Cambodia. We also use Eye Glass Clinics to serve vulnerable villagers and help share Jesus with them.

YWAM’s purpose is simply to know God and to make Him known. YWAM operates in more than 1000 locations in over 150 countries, with a staff of nearly 16,000; including 400 in Thailand.
Karen and Ricky's Ministry
We are involved in various types of ministries including church planting, leadership development, an orphanage for orphans affected by HIV/AIDS, Project Standing Strong for women with children leaving the sex trade, Global Sports Ministry, using sports teams to strengthen the local church around the world, and eye glass clinics for vulnerable communities, under the Thai Foundation, 'Abundant Life Foundation.' We work mainly in Thailand and Cambodia.
