Raising Funds for Film Production

Race. Track.

A story about diversity and inclusion in Motorsports through the lens of 14-year-old international race car driver Mayer Deonarine.

Race. Track. These words were not used together until Sir Lewis Hamilton dominated the F1 division. He has become an ambassador for black drivers in a sport dominated by wealthy white males. But what has become of his elite champion representation? A lot, to say the least.

Mayer Deonarine, who has his eye on changing the participant demographics of motorsports, is inspired. The film we are creating concentrates on Mayer's astute observations and his vision for the future of racing.

We hope to raise awareness about the need for inclusion and diversity in Autosports. The importance of removing racist and sexist ideology by having more people of colour and females as representatives for more inclusion until the idea of seeing a black driver or a female driver is as expected and as accepted as seeing a white male driver

Our vision got much bigger; this is great for you!

We are raising funds for our film project to pay for travel and to pay our editor. We have filmed at SUPERNATIONALS 26, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and twice at Sebring International Raceway in Florida. We are creating travel plans to Indianapolis, Indiana, Brooklyn, New York and more locations in Ontario.

Our project goal is to create a film that will be submitted to worldwide festivals to raise awareness about diversity and inclusion. Our longer-term vision is to have this film as Episode one of many that will be ready for streaming or traditional broadcast channels. You can be part of producing a new show!

We are offering fun perks for all contributions. Remember, all contributions matter! We all have different financial strata, and your contributions are greatly appreciated, no matter how much you can give.

Thank you for being here; it means you are either a fan of racing, a family member, or a friend, or you heard of this project through the community of diversity and inclusion. This film is being produced by Altalux, represented by filmmakers Paul Reid and Raul Quijano. This project has morphed into something completely different than what was expected. At first, we set out to make a short festival film of an impressive 14-year-old race car driver from Ajax, Ontario, Canada. What it has turned into is a story about a 14-year-old international race car driver who is black and, with one major exception, is unrepresented in his sport.
