How to donate

There are several options on how to donate. You can donate on this site using a credit card, and you will receive a donation receipt from Charitable Impact. Please note that the total funds raised on this site are IN ADDITION to funds raised that are sent directly to Road To Racing. We encourage large donors to contact R2R directly at [email protected] regarding wiring funds or mailing a cheque directly to Road To Racing Canada, a registered Amateur Athletics Association.

CRA information

As per CRA requirements, Donors can indicate their program preference for how a charity will apply their donation (in this case to Parker), but ultimate authority on the use of the resources must rest with the charity. If the charity does not use the donation in the way the donors prefer, the charity will not return the donation to the donors. For example if the driver decides not to race, the remaining funds would remain with R2R for other scholarships.

Parker Gill - Driving History

Parker started competitive karting in 2020, and was very successful winning his 2nd race ever and completing his inaugural season with 2 wins, 6 runner ups and 2- 3rd place finishes for 2nd overall in the MADRL championships. This was followed up by moving into higher level karting through a Professional Racing Ontario (PRO) scholarship program to race for their team as a 16-year-old rookie in the highly competitive Senior Briggs class. That year, Parker raced whenever he could to make up lost time, participating in four championships - MADRL, MTCC, MIKA and MRFKC. In that second season of MADRL, he won 9 races to become the 2021 MADRL Champion. He also competed in a cup challenge (MTCC) winning 3 of 4 races and a 3rd in the other to win the overall MTCC Championship. In his first season of Senior Briggs, he competed in every race, rising to the challenge by finishing 12th out of 71 in the championship and winning the rookie of the year award. Returning with PRO for the 2022 season, Parker began consistently finishing higher up with 6 top 10 and 2 top 5 results to finish 5th overall in the MIKA championship. He raced in the full MRFKC championship to gain experience with 3 top 15s and a 10th resulting in 14th place in the overall championship. In order to continue to develop his skills over the off season he began reflex training, bought a Sim to work on iRacing at home and competed at HIP Motorsports in a sim racing league where he finished Top 3 overall to win a test drive in a Radical race car. This past season in MRFKC, he finished the season with 1 pole, 2 top 5s and 3 top 10s. Going to Mont Tremblant for the last round of MRFKC, he won the move of the race award, going from qualifying 20th to finishing 6th in the final, finishing 7th overall in the championship for the season. MIKA 2023 saw Parker fighting for podiums, and finished 3rd in the overall championship in Briggs, he would also make the jump to compete in the Senior ROK class. Parker was highly successful in Briggs with 2 wins, a 3rd, 2 top 5s, and 6 top 10s. Although he only competed in half the ROK season, he finished 8th in the overall championship with 5 top 10s. He also went to CKNA Grand Nationals in Indiana to compete against the best of the best in North America, finishing 19th out of the 60 that made the feature final and out of 91 entries overall.

Parker Gill - The Future

Parker's ultimate goal is to compete in IndyCar and win The Indy 500 and IndyCar Championship. His goals are to compete against the best of the best, win races, giving back to his fans and sponsors, and competing in all forms of motorsports. In 2024, Parker has been competing with Brian Graham Racing in the Toyo Tires F1600 championship. At the half way point in the season, he is sitting 7th overall in the series, 10 points away from 4th overall and is in a head to head battle for rookie of the year. Parker's racing career progression path will be to go through the IndyCar ladder moving up to USF2000 racing in the US in 2025 proudly competing for Canada with the plan of finishing top 3 in the championship to win the scholarship to move to the next series. In 2026, Parker hopes to move on to USF Pro 2000 again with goal to be top 3 in the championship and to win the scholarship to move to IndyNXT. In 2027, Parker would compete in the last feeder series into IndyCar, with the goal of either winning or finishing top 3, and to talk with Indy drivers and teams to help to move on to IndyCar.

Road To Racing - How It Helps Me Reach My Goal

In Parker's own words, "I am so thankful that the Road To Racing program can give me the opportunity to be able to help raise additional funding which will be extremely necessary for me to continue on my racing journey especially to the upper levels. My family are simply a middle-class hard-working group of people. We do not have the income to pursue this journey without additional access to scholarships and tax-deductible funding from donors that this program provides. I hope that this program will allow me to continue to advance to my ultimate goal of becoming an IndyCar champion and not have my goal turned off due to lack of funding like so many other young drivers before me. Through donations like yours, let's make this dream come true. Thanks for your help."
