Gould Lake Outdoor Centre runs environmental and experiential education programs for students through the Limestone District School Board. On August 29th some dedicated Gould Lake staff are paddling 150 km non-stop to Parliament Hill to raise funds to make the programs more financially accessible.
Where do the donations go?
All of the proceeds raised from Paddle 2 Parliament go to the Friends of Outreach (FOO) Charitable Trust. Every year FOO provides a range of scholarships for students with financial limitations to participate in Gould Lake programs. What is the route?
The Gould Lake staff will navigate 150 km of the Rideau Canal for anywhere between 26 to 30 hours non-stop, starting at the Bedford Mills Locks and ending on Parliament Hill.
