The New Westminster Secondary School Interact Club is having a Hoop-A-Thon event on April 27. Your donation will go to WISH Drop In Centre - a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space for women and gender diverse folks, who are current or former sex workers. The Centre is located at 330 Alexander Street in East Vancouver. Its staff and volunteers help 330-350 participants every night and day. Demand increases every year. The WISH Drop in Centre serves approximately 9,000 meals every month. It provides showers and personal care items such as toiletries, beauty products, first aid and feminine hygiene products. Donation rooms are accessed an average of 1,800 times each month. The WISH Drop In Centre is safe space where a participant’s privacy and security are a priority.
