Mujeres Nuevo Comienzo is a ministry to abused women, who with their children, have run away from dangerous situations. The ministry provides a safe environment where mother and child are cared for and discipled in Christ.
The Group's Purpose
The ministry provides education for the children and their mothers. Women are taught basic life skills and are encouraged to start reading the bible and have times of worship and devotions. Because of the trauma they have suffered, they are given the opportunity to receive prayer ministry. Many have never learned to read and have no marketable skill. They are taught to sew, to cook and to manage a home. They are shown what a better life looks like and are encouraged not to go back into abusive situations. The young children are cared for in the day-care that is located on the premises. Older children are sent to the local school.
Women who have spent a year on the main campus transition to houses where they live with only their children while still being close to the main community. They are encouraged to ultimately go and start living independently in the community at large.
How to Help
This is a faith ministry that requires finances for daily needs and for the expansion of the facility.
The directors receive no salary. The administrator and house mother receive a stipend.
Such exciting news! Starting November 15, Dawn from the Minimal Mom is fundraising for a water well for our ministry.
