“I need all the encouragement I can get to make it up Mount Benson!" - Erin

The Group's Purpose

The purpose of this Giving Group is to raise money for The Columbian Centre Society.

Columbian Centre is a charitable Nanaimo based organization demonstrating excellence in psychosocial rehabilitation for adults with mental health and addictions concerns, and/or cognitive challenges.  We encourage a society that values and supports all people and engages communities through programs that promote recovery, social inclusion, safe housing and public education. The Society currently owns and operates five residences in Nanaimo B.C. serving approximately 30 adults.

Erin Warner has enjoyed serving on the board for the last three years and currently is the Society’s Treasurer.

She has two amazing children aged four and seven. Erin has her own Chartered Accountant practice offering tax and accounting services. With her husband Derek, she enjoys photography and fitness activities.

“I volunteer for Columbian Centre because it is a positive force. The respect and friendship shown to everyone clearly works wonders for the restoration of mental health. I believe each one of us helps to make Nanaimo the compassionate community it is.”

Jenga (the dog) will be leading his humans, Kerrie Jack and her partner Rasa, on a hike up Mount Benson to raise funds for the Columbian Centre Society.

Kerrie is a registered nurse at the Columbian Centre Society and Jenga is the unofficial Mascot. Jenga loves hanging out at CCS with some of our residents.
