Sarcoma Research Campaign

Sarcoma is a collection of rare bone and soft-tissue cancers that receives significantly less research funding than more common cancers, despite affecting approximately 1,700 Canadians with soft tissue sarcoma and 285 with bone sarcoma each year.

That equates to nearly five Canadians diagnosed every day.

Sarcoma is rare - but it is here. It affects children, teens, and adults in our own community.

Improving outcomes depends on access to specialized expertise and continued research. Historically, our region benefited from dedicated orthopedic oncology services. Today, sustaining and advancing musculoskeletal oncology research is essential to preserving innovation, strengthening surgical outcomes, and ensuring that expertise remains close to home.

The Jonathan Brown Foundation is proud to direct funds raised through this campaign to support this vital work. Inspired by Jonathan’s journey with Ewing Sarcoma, JBF is committed to raising awareness and generating meaningful support for young warriors and their families.

All donations made through this campaign will be distributed to support Sarcoma Research at McMaster University.
