We're the Lethbridge Sport Council, a not-for-profit organization founded in 2008. With guidance from a volunteer board of directors and the hard work of our full-time and project staff, we're dedicated to enhancing and developing sport in Lethbridge.
Our vision? For Lethbridge to be an inclusive and accessible sport community that celebrates quality experiences and is grounded in helping people live healthy, active, and successful lives. Right now, we're at a key moment—and you can be part of this exciting journey.
By supporting Lethbridge Game: Empowering People in Sport, you’ll be part of a movement to create positive change and unity in our community. Together, we can reshape local sports for the better and inspire a brighter future for everyone.
Join us and be part of the change. Together, we empower. Together, we thrive.
We’re committed to giving children and youth the opportunity to develop their fundamental movement skills while being introduced to a variety of sports in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment. Through FREE programs like Roving Gyms, Give It A Try events, and summer drop-in sessions, we provide accessible and engaging ways for children to stay active and discover new sports. Our focus is on creating positive experiences that inspire confidence and foster a lifelong love for physical activity.
Help unlock the potential of our young athletes by supporting their coaches! In partnership with the University of Lethbridge and FSQ Sport, we’re proud to present Lethbridge Game Changers: Empowering Coaches in Sport.
This program provides year-round support and development in key areas like competence, confidence, character, connection, and culture—ensuring that our coaches have the tools they need to guide and inspire the next generation of athletes.
For local non-profit sport organizations, success isn't just a goal—it's a must. That’s why we created Lethbridge Game Changers: Empowering Leaders in Sport, offering key training and education in areas like promotions, marketing, fund development, equity, diversity, inclusion, board governance, and more. It’s all about helping your organization grow and thrive.
And because developing the next generation of sport leaders is so important we are engaging with high school and post-secondary students to tackle the shortage of volunteer administrators, coaches, and officials, with opportunities like the Southern Alberta Sport Leadership Conference, inspiring speaker sessions, and the Get Involved Fund to recognize and reward exceptional leadership in community sport.
