Our dedicated and passionate group of student volunteers at the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton are part of the national Let’s Talk Science Outreach program.
Our group is one of 50 Let’s Talk Science Outreach university and college partner locations across Canada and collectively we inspire and engage more than 300,000 children and youth across Canada in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Our volunteers give of their time and expertise to support educators and provide students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 with free hands-on/minds-on STEM learning experiences.
Here are just a few of the learning experiences our volunteers provide:
• Visit classrooms or community groups to engage kids in a wide variety of STEM activities
• Guide field trips and laboratory, facility or campus tours
• Mentor students and engage them in authentic scientific research
• Give school-wide presentations
• Provide science fair mentoring and judging
• Program career panels for teens
• Participate in community outreach events
Let’s Talk Science is a national, charitable organization. As such, we rely on the generosity of corporations, foundations, government and individuals – like you – to help us keep our programs free and accessible to all.
Please consider making a donation to Let’s Talk Science at the University of New Brunswick - Fredericton so we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and youth in our communities.
