Group Admins

In Her Circle is a community-led fundraising movement dedicated to raising awareness and supporting postpartum mental health in BC.

In 2026, we are raising funds to fully support one year of weekly drop-in postpartum support programming through the Pacific Postpartum Support Society (PPPSS).

In Her Circle x Acumamas

In Her Circle and Acumamas are collaborating to support timely, compassionate postpartum mental health care.

In the month of May, Acumamas will invite our community to donate to this cause and match every dollar given, up to $700.

Why this Matters

The postpartum period is a time of profound transition and vulnerability. In BC, up to 1 in 4 women experience mental health challenges during pregnancy or in the year thereafter, yet many are never identified or receive appropriate care.

Families often face long waitlists, fragmented services and limited access to timely, specialized support.

For those experiencing more severe postpartum mental health challenges, integrated and continuous care is rarely available, leaving families to navigate complex systems without clear pathways to support.

This campaign is grounded in lived experience. In 2024, Jenna Dorman tragically died of postpartum suicide. Jenna was deeply loved by her family and supported by a strong, engaged community, and despite that, we were unable to help her access the level of care she needed during an incredibly acute period.

“In Her Circle” is inspired by the concentric circles of care that formed around Jenna in her illness, and calls on all of us to step into the circle of care surrounding mothers and families.

About Acumamas

Rooted in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and complemented by naturopathic medicine, pelvic floor physiotherapy, massage therapy, and counselling, Acumamas offers integrated, evidence-informed care in one compassionate space. Their postpartum program is thoughtfully designed to meet each mother where she is — honouring her pace, her body, and her healing.
