In memory of Jonathan Brown, who passed away from Ewing Sarcoma at age 19, the Jonathan Brown Foundation is matching donations throughout July to support Dr. Michelle Ghert's Sarcoma Research Team at McMaster University.
Why Sarcoma Research Matters
Sarcoma is a rare cancer that accounts for only 1% of adult cancers but approximately 15% of childhood cancers. Because it is uncommon, research funding can be difficult to secure, leaving many young patients with limited treatment options. Supporting research helps advance new discoveries, improve outcomes, and create hope for families facing a sarcoma diagnosis.
Funds raised through this campaign will support Dr. Michelle Ghert's Sarcoma Research Team at McMaster University. Throughout July, the Jonathan Brown Foundation will match donations, helping to maximize the impact of every contribution and accelerate progress in sarcoma research.
Jonathan's Story
Jonathan Brown was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma as a teenager. Despite two years of chemotherapy, limb-salvage surgery and incredible determination, Jonathan passed away in 2021 at the age of 19. His courage, resilience, and positive spirit continue to inspire our work. Through the Jonathan Brown Foundation, we honour his legacy by supporting research and helping young people facing similar challenges.
Our Goal
Our goal is simple: to give young people facing sarcoma a better chance than Jonathan had. Every donation helps move us closer to better treatments, improved outcomes, and more families receiving the future they deserve.
