A unique campaign to support refugee Tibetan nuns living in exile. To improve living conditions, food access, education & health care. Our service project is a tribute to the preservation of Tibetan culture and the Buddhist teachings we are studying. The Tibetan Nuns Project is our charity partner.

The Group's Purpose

Our service project is a voluntary initiative led by students of the Contemplative Studies Program participating from a number of countries to raise USD$20,000 in support of the educational and medical needs of nineteen nuns living at the remote Dorjee Zong Nunnery in the Himalaya Mountains.

This Giving Group was established to enable Canadian donors supporting the Dorjee Zong Service Project through the Contemplative Studies Program to receive a charitable tax receipt from a recognized charitable foundation in Canada.

How to Help

You can make a one-time donation that will go a long way to support everyday life for the nuns living at Dorjee Zong. All donations welcome! Please share your email address with the Group Organizers when you make a donation to receive updates from the Tibetan Nuns Project.

We hope you will share this giving opportunity with others who embody altruism and may also consider embracing this cause.

We are also planning a Spring Day Retreat on April 17th just outside of Toronto including Meditation, Soundbath, Teachings, Nature Walk and more. All proceeds will go directly to this service project. Event postponed due to COVID-19.

Listen here for an intro to this retreat from Dr. Miles Neale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9U7C4Vifcw

Send us a message if you would like information on this event when re-scheduled.
