OUR PURPOSE
Take action and reach deep in the community to provide children and youth, particularly those with diverse learning challenges, quality dance education designed to train physical literacy and boost critical learning skills while strengthening empathy, artistry, and leadership.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
OUR GOAL is to raise $25,000 in order to,
1. Fully-fund programs for children attending schools under-served by dance education
2. Provide free after-school programs in neighbourhoods where economically-disadvantaged kids and families live
3. Provide professional development training for educators, advocates and organizations working with vulnerable populations.

ABOUT US
DARE-2-Danzkool is a collaboration between the Danzkool Company and the Charitable Impact Foundation dedicated to enriching the lives of children and youth through dance education.
Tim Mah is a dynamic dance educator and a passionate advocate for the power of dance to transform lives. Inspired by the science behind childhood learning and development, he created “DARE-2-Dance-Your-Brain”, a unique dance-themed program that combines skilled-movement, live music, and the art of dancing into tasks designed to scaffold learning, enhance social and emotional development, and foster good mental health.
The science is out. Adele Diamond, distinguished UBC-professor of neuroscience, considers learning to dance invaluable training for advancing critical learning skills needed for higher-Executive Function. Notably, teachers who participated in DARE-2-Dance programs in their classrooms observed higher levels of motivation among students, particularly those with diverse learning challenges.
In the words of a 6th-grade teacher, “I’ve seen dance programs come and go, but this is the first that got everybody engaged, including the kids who don't do anything.”
Thanks to support from donors like you, DARE-2-Dance programs have been in schools across Greater Vancouver including Sir James Douglas Elementary and Prince of Wales Secondary in Vancouver, Cascade Heights Elementary in Burnaby, and William Bridges Elementary in Richmond. Also, in the community with the St. James Music Academy, the Pacific Immigrant Services Society, and the Boys And Girls Club. Thank you.
