Inspired by the late NHL player Mark Kirton, Courage to Fight ALS unites players, teams, fans and communities to support people affected by ALS. What began in hockey has grown into a broader movement, with hockey remaining at its heart.
HOCKEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
ALS is a progressive neurological disease that takes away people's ability to move, speak, swallow and eventually breathe. For people living with ALS and their families, progress cannot come quickly enough.
The hockey community has the power to raise awareness, mobilize support and generate funding to help accelerate progress against ALS.
From professional arenas to neighbourhood rinks, every contribution matters.

The fight against ALS extends beyond professional hockey.
Minor hockey associations, local teams and leagues are invited to join Courage to Fight ALS through fundraising, awareness initiatives and community events.

Led by ALS Action Canada, Canada's only patient-led ALS organization, the Fund is supported by an Advisory Council of ALS experts and people with lived experience who help inform funding priorities and decisions.
