We are a group dedicated to privately sponsoring a young Syrian family facing hardship and
persecution in Turkiye where they are currently residing as refugees.

Our Goal
Our goal is to give a happy and safe haven to Farah, her husband Sarya and her two young daughters, Sara and Rima, who desperately need to be able to work and go to school. We need to raise enough money to bring them to Ottawa under the federal government’s Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program.
Because of the tremendous support from our generous supporters we have reached our first goal and raised the $30,000 down payment required by the federal government to initiate sponsorship of our family of four. With your help our fundraising efforts are now continuing and our second goal has been set for this Thanksgiving when we hope to have raised $60,000 to support the family when they begin their new lives here in Canada.
How to Help
1. You can help by giving a donation on this site. A tax receipt will be issued to all Canadian
residents.
2. We invite you to attend our fundraisers as advertised on our Facebook page. Simply enter "Cotton Candy Haven" on Facebook and then click on Events.
About the Organizers
We are a group of 11 private citizens from various walks of life who give their time and efforts so that refugees may be given a safe haven in Ottawa free of reprisals and persecution just because they are displaced by civil was and political persecution.
