Coastal Church is sending a mission team to Tijuana, Mexico in November 2018
The Group's Purpose
From November 6-13, 2018 we will be partnering with Grupo Unidad, a church that has impacted Tijuana city in the last 38 years.
Our team will be staying at Rancho Don Fermin Campsite in the Tijuana foothills. The vision of Groupo Unidad is to continue to use the place for churches in Mexico to host retreats, as well as create an outreach center for the community.
We’re excited to join with Grupo Unidad, combining our efforts to make a difference through a few different projects:
COMMUNITY SERVICE OUTREACH
Our team will help put on a community outreach that will include everything from haircuts and manicures to games, music and special prizes for children.
AT-RISK CHILDREN HOME VISIT
There is an alarming number of children at-risk in Tijuana, so there are many transitional homes in the area. Our team will visit one of these homes, demonstrating the love of Christ through quality time with kids and doing a practical maintenance project.
SUPPORTING GRUPO UNIDAD
Our team will be serving by doing maintenance projects and renovation at the Rancho Don Fermin Campsite, as well as bringing ministry support to local churches in the area.
OUR TEAM
This group of 15 people from different walks of life ready to serve and love others! We are Jacqui Bishop, Abner & Jessica Galvan, Hayley Stringer, Carlos Hayes, Daniel Tan, Praise Vaughn, Olivia Nickel, Ruben Nava and Tyler Jones
How to Help
Consider making a difference by giving towards this mission financially and/or in prayer so you can also be part of God's work in the Tijuana area.
Our fundraising goal of $24,300 is to cover the team cost and project costs. Any funds raised exceeding these costs will go towards Coastal Church' Missions Fund.
About the Organizers
Coastal Church HELPS make the city a better place, and we love to partner with organizations that maximize the impact on their community.
