Campaign Purpose
We’re partnering with Ecojustice and 1% for the Planet to bring you the Clean Up Canada Fundraiser Campaign. Clean Up Canada is an awareness campaign and fundraiser, which aims to address the issue of climate harm caused by corporations in Canada and bring to light Ecojustice’s new corporate climate accountability legislation that’s being developed, which seeks to hold Canadian corporations accountable for their climate action. Clean Up Canada also aims to spotlight the vital role that the non-profit, 1% for the Planet, plays in activating Canadian businesses and individuals to provide funding for grassroots environmental organizations on the front line of the climate change fight.
Ecojustice helped table The Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act (Bill C-12) in 2021, Canada’s first comprehensive climate governance system, which holds the federal government accountable for meeting emissions reduction targets and reaching net-zero by 2050. Now, they’re tackling climate accountability for corporations. With your help, we can ensure all sectors in Canada are held accountable for tackling climate change.
How You Can Help Reach Our Goal
Clean Up Canada’s goal is to reach $25,000 in fundraising during the month of April to help Ecojustice’s fight against the climate crisis in Canada. Cove Continuity Advisors will be matching proceeds up to $10,000. Your donation, large or small, will support Ecojustice's latest work in building a strong corporate climate accountability framework, creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable future for all Canadians.
