Barrie Pregnancy Resource Centre provides support to anyone facing unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy related crisis.
The Group's Purpose
“No woman should feel pressured to have an abortion.” It was this conviction that recently led an anonymous donor to give $100,000 in matching funds to life-affirming organizations across Canada. This donor had witnessed the good that was going on in pregnancy centres. Beginning March 1, 2014 CHIMP will be awarding matching funds with the intent of improving support to Canadian women regarding the full range of options before them; including a life-affirming decision.
How to Help
When you give to this project, you are helping women, teens, male partners, families and babies of Barrie and area!!!
As of March 13th, the $100,000 in matching funds which was available to pregnancy centres across Canada has been completely utilized (even more quickly than anticipated!), thanks to many generous pregnancy centre supporters throughout the country. This means donations received after March 13th will no longer be doubled.
However, Barrie Pregnancy Resource Centre still needs your support. The number of clients accessing support at the centre continues to increase. Every dollar donated through this campaign will help us meet the growing need at the centre.
About the Organizers
Barrie Pregnancy Resource Centre has provided support to over 790 clients since opening in December 2006. Every week the centre supports teens and women facing very desperate situations. Through your donation, you can be part of the message of hope!
