100 Women Whistler is a group of like-minded women committed to supporting charitable organizations in the Sea to Sky Corridor so they can continue their work in making our community a better place.
The Group's Purpose
100 Women Who Care Whistler is designed to make an immediate positive effect on the lives of our neighbours by bringing together 100 (or more) women in Whistler who care about local community causes and who are committed to community strength. Our meetings are one hour in length and take place four times per year; beginning with an optional beverage reception, allowing our members to mingle and network with like minded women in our community. Each meeting agenda includes three member nominated organizations presenting their need for a financial donation, attending membership voting (majority wins) and a cheque presentation to the selected organization. Every member commits to donating $100 x 4 meetings per year = $40,000(approx.) per year to our local Sea to Sky community.
How to Help
1) Become a member of 100 Women Whistler; www.100womenwhistler.com
2) Attend our quarterly meeting; listen to three local organizations present for funding and vote for your choice to receive the group donation - majority vote wins.
3) Donate (instantly receive a charitable tax receipt); following each quarterly event, we send all the funds raised to the selected organization.

About the Organizers
Our local Whistler Chapter was founded by Ashlie Girvan, who discovered the 100 Who Care Alliance while getting lost in her InstaStories late one night. Ashlie recognized the simplicity and potential surrounding this fundraising initiative and quickly reached out to Kourtney McKercher, Ruth Barrow and Courtney Knight to join forces with her as the organization committee; we are each strong in our own right, but together we are stronger. Ashlie approached the 100 Women Sea to Sky chapter founder (now 100 Women Squamish) and asked for their blessing in opening a Whistler based chapter. Our first inaugural meeting took place on Wednesday, May 29.
