The BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH) is a member-based organization that enhances the continuum of services and strategies to respond to, prevent, and end violence against women, children, and youth. They approach their work through an intersectional feminist framework. Their mission focuses on leadership, education, support, and collaboration to address violence against vulnerable populations.

BCSTH operates throughout British Columbia, supporting anti-violence workers across the province. The organization began in 1978 with 6 members and has grown significantly over the years. They now represent 65 Transition Houses, 28 Safe Homes, 29 Second Stage Programs, 3 Third Stage Programs, and 86 PEACE programs throughout BC.

Program highlights include advocacy, training, research, and resource development for anti-violence workers. BCSTH facilitates and supports services for women experiencing violence and develops training for front-line workers. They coordinate Children Who Witness Abuse programs and Violence is Preventable programs in schools. The organization also conducts research, creates promising practices, provides resources to members, publishes newsletters, engages in public education, monitors legal changes, and advocates to government stakeholders.
