Mission Statement:
The Red Road Healing Society aims to provide holistic services that help Indigenous people remember, restore, and renew their traditional teachings and values. This mission promotes balance and wellness in the lives of children, youth, adults, and families by offering professional, social, educational, legal, and health services.

Geographic Focus:
The Red Road Healing Society operates primarily in the east end of Edmonton, Alberta, serving the Beverly-Abbottsfield-Rundle communities. They also provide outreach services to the broader community through home visits, school liaison, and special events. Their services are accessible to Indigenous people across Turtle Island.

Program Highlights:
The Red Road Healing Society offers a variety of programs and services, including addictive lifestyle workshops, adolescent programs, annual events, Baby Think It Over, career development, children’s programs, collective kitchens, counseling, crafts, culture night, educational services, family programs, family violence workshops, grieving workshops, healing circles, health services, home support, H2O café, legal services, literacy programs, longhouse gathering night, parenting classes, prevention services against abuse, anger, criminal behavior, grieving, violence, referral services, seasonal events, school outreach, social services, soup and bannock, storytelling sessions, summer kids camp, survivor workshops, tipi-making, and 12-step work. The Akicita youth program and Turtle Island Tiny Tots headstart program are also available when funding permits. The society aims to reduce abuse, apathy, isolation, low self-esteem, stress, grief, addiction, violence, and general pain in the lives of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people by increasing their knowledge of Indigenous lifeways and stimulating their awareness of personal power and purpose.
