Since 1943, The Friends of the University of Alberta have engaged in activities that help build a strong relationship between the university and the broader community. The Friends supports scholarships, public lecture series, USchool, and other similar programs. Ongoing goals
As part of celebrating the 80th anniversary of The Friends of the University Alberta in 2023, we began fundraising to increase the scholarship amounts that are offered to students every year. Some of the scholarships endowed through the Friends are 50 years old. The amount selected in 1973 does not measure up in 2023. If you received a scholarship, you know how important it was for you to attend university. Please help us "pay it forward" to the next generation of students (and Friends). #FriendsUAlberta80
