Mission Statement
The Canadian Lord’s Day Association exists to preserve the sanctity of the Lord’s Day and to promote the extension of the Christian faith in Canada. Founded as a non-denominational group in 1986, its purpose is to serve as a Christian witness dedicated to upholding the special character of the Lord’s Day, following the overturning of the Lord’s Day Act by the Supreme Court of Canada. The Association’s foundational aim is summarized as “preserving the sanctity of the Lord’s Day and for the extension of His kingdom”.

Geographic Focus
The Association’s primary focus is on communities within Canada. All public meetings, publications, and outreach activities are directed towards Canadians. Its programs and ministry work, including its support for prisoners and church congregations, are developed and distributed throughout Canada. It specifically serves Canadian institutions and individuals, reflecting its mission to maintain the Lord’s Day in Canadian society.

Program Highlights
The Canadian Lord’s Day Association runs several key initiatives. It publishes a magazine with more than 3,000 in circulation, promotes the Christian value of the Lord’s Day in public meetings, and distributes religious materials, such as pocket calendars with scripture verses, to Canadian prisons. These calendars are designed to highlight the importance of the Lord’s Day and support spiritual growth among inmates. Over 148,000 diaries were distributed in the last reported year. The Association also manages a Bible correspondence course, reaching hundreds of inmates each year, and maintains ongoing outreach to churches and communities across the country.
