We envision a world where the girls and women of Longido District, Tanzania have equal access to education and economic opportunities.
TEMBO (Tanzania Education and Micro-Business Opportunity) is a federally incorporated, registered Canadian charity working in partnership with two local Tanzanian organizations, TEMBO Trust and Learning in Longido.
Our objectives are to:
1. Enable girls to pursue secondary school education, vocational and teacher training.
2. Support the delivery of information education from pre-school children to adults at the Longido District Learning Centre.
3. Provide micro-loans to women and support a goat program for women living in remote communities in northern Tanzania.
