What we do
We are a non-profit community centre that has supported healthy and independent lifestyles for local seniors in the South Granville/Fairview area for over 40 years.
We work together with adults 55+ to support their well-being in ways that promote friendship, diversity and individual worth.
We provide: Social activities, out trips, wellness programs, educational programs, 45 special events, lunch programs four times a week, computer classes, massage therapy, community kitchen, ESL classes, spontaneous art making, legal clinics, income tax clinics, hair clinic, yoga classes, osteo-arthritis fit, Tai Chi, Stretch and Strength, Brain Gym, Introduction to Spanish, Gentle Hand & Foot Care, Hearing Clinic, Information and Referrals/Peer Support Program, Musical/Opera Appreciation, Singing Group, Bingo, Knitting Group, and a book club.
We currently supervise over 250 volunteers and have 70 regular volunteers. In 2014, volunteers contributed more than 8,000 recorded hours. Our volunteers come from various backgrounds.
