The Quintessential Vocal Ensemble (QVE) is a community choir that brings together diverse singers. They focus on performing eclectic choral repertoire with exceptional standards. QVE was founded in 1993 by Susan Quinn and alumni of Holy Heart of Mary High School. Their mission emphasizes promoting choral education and maintaining high artistic standards. They unite experienced singers, instrumentalists, teachers, students, and professionals who share a passion for choral music.

QVE is based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The choir performs regularly throughout the province in smaller communities. They have also represented Canada internationally at prestigious competitions and festivals. QVE has performed in Wales, France, Ireland, the United States, and across Canada. They made their Carnegie Hall debut in New York in 2014. The choir is committed to promoting Newfoundland and Labrador's culture through their performances.

Program highlights include QVE's educational initiatives and artistic collaborations. In 2014, they expanded to include a youth choir for ages 15-23. They also launched a collaboration with Atlantic Vocal Ensembles for children and youth. The choir runs "QVE goes to School," an interactive workshop for children. They offer an annual Bellamy-Sesk Memorial Bursary. QVE commissions new works by local composers. The choir has won over 20 awards in national and international competitions. They have recorded three CDs and performed with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.
