Mission Statement
Pacific Parklands Foundation, now known as Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation, is dedicated to protecting and preserving parklands in the Metro Vancouver area. Their mission is to nurture nature by supporting projects and programs that enhance the region’s parks, making them accessible and welcoming to all. They work to connect people with nature and inspire stewardship in the community.

Geographic Focus
The Foundation’s focus is on parklands within Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. All programs and initiatives benefit the regional parks system and the diverse communities living in and around Burnaby and the wider Metro Vancouver area. There is no national or international scope; their work is rooted in local and regional impacts.

Program Highlights
The Foundation runs programs to help children and youth connect with nature, such as providing free summer camps through partners like the CTS Youth Society. They support special projects like chartered bus trips, which help people with financial barriers visit local parks. They also partner with community groups to fund benches and infrastructure, restore park ecosystems, and incorporate Indigenous knowledge into their activities. Their efforts centre around creating inclusive, educational, and memorable outdoor experiences for everyone.
