NSVS is run by two employees with a volunteer board of ten. Our focus is on promoting the independence and well-being of “super seniors” - those over 85. However, we also welcome younger seniors, especially as volunteers.
Our Centre offers a number of weekly or bi-weekly programs to encourage mental and physical activity and continued social engagement. Many of our clients have ‘aged out’ of the area’s community centres, finding them too loud, too busy and too large. Our accessible garden studio allows us to offer one activity at a time, in one open space
Centre activities include Chair Exercises, Nordic Walking, Mahjong, Lunch & Bridge, Computer Help, Lunch & Scrabble, Iranian Group, Walking Group, Chair Yoga and Iranian Seniors.
