Program Highlights:
NNEEC provides several key programs:
- Community Adventure Program: An active, educational, and fun day program for children aged six to fourteen, including activities like swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports, and games.
- Near North Innovation Symposium: A platform to tackle timely issues at a high level, focusing on environmental sustainability, economic security, and social diversity. The symposium involves thought leaders from Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities, promoting community engagement and planning for sustainable living.
- Conservation Efforts: NNEEC is involved in conserving and rehabilitating the habitat of at-risk reptiles, such as Ontario turtles, through cataloging and protecting these species.
