Nature Canada's mission is to protect and conserve wildlife and habitats in Canada by engaging people and advocating on behalf of nature.

The organization conducts conservation work which involves supporting community based efforts to protect animals, plants and habitat, pushing for effective laws and policies that protect endangered species, encouraging the development of networks of parks and protected areas across Canada, conserving bird habitat and promoting biodiversity in Canada and abroad.

In addition, Nature Canada conducts educational programs that educate children and adults about the importance of nature and encourages nature enthusiasts to protect nature and the processes that sustain it.
