Mackenzie Health Foundation is spearheading the $250-million Exceptional Care Belongs Here campaign – the largest fundraising drive led by a community hospital in Canada.

With your generous support, we will help build and equip Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, Canada’s first smart hospital, and enhance care at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.

Together, we are exceptional.

To increase bed capacity and address demands of our growing community, MacKenzie Health partnered in the Reactivation Care Centre (RCC), a collaboration between hospitals in the Central LHIN, announced in October 2017. This initiative has been specifically designed to provide patients who no longer need acute care with specialized, reactivation care in a setting that best supports their care journey. The Reactivation Care Centre is one of MacKenzie Health's community-based locations and has capacity for 120 beds. At the RCC, patients cared for will have access to specialized, focused care and attention in a quiet, peaceful place for therapy and rehabilitation; the setting is designed to focus on the needs of the patient and support (...) transition to home or long-term care; and options to have meals in dining room(s) to encourage mobility and social interactions.
