LUSH Valley is a non-profit organization focusing on food security. We support food-related projects that educate and empower people in the Comox Valley.
LUSH believes our food plays a powerful role in promoting health, building strong and diverse communities, protecting the environment and strengthening the economy. We also believe our food system (growing, processing, distribution and consumption) is at the nexus of many of the today's most significant public health problems. In today’s world, there is rising concern about the role our current food system plays in a range of problems such as chronic disease, hunger, obesity, food safety scares, the viability of local farm communities, and more. LUSH’s mandate is to address these issues.
