Food Rescue (Yellowknife) supports organizations who feed the homeless and otherwise nutritionally or socially disadvantaged individuals through donations of reclaimed food. In 2020/21, with the help of approximately 60 volunteers, we operated approximately 237 days, from 08:30 am to 2:30 pm, recovering and average of 509 kg of food per day, and distributing 115,919 kg of food to our recipient organizations. Since starting operation in June 2008, Food Rescue has delivered over 1,583,934 kg to help feed those in need.
