Eva’s Initiatives for Homeless Youth exists to help young people at risk or experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to provide access to safe shelter, health programs, and support so youth can realize their potential and live healthy, fulfilling lives. The organization uses trauma-informed, culturally responsive services and places special emphasis on supporting Black youth who have been underserved in the past.

Eva’s is based in Toronto, Ontario, and focuses all of its programs and outreach on youth within the city. They operate four different sites across Toronto, supporting over 200 youth aged 16 to 24 each day. Eva’s does not have a national or international focus but works closely within the Toronto community.

Eva’s main programs include emergency shelters, transitional housing, and long-term support, such as mental health services and life skills development. They run specialized employment training, offer rent subsidies, and provide culturally specific services, especially for Black and marginalized youth. In recent years, they have helped many young people move from homelessness to independent living and employment.
