The Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) is a provincial association based in Vancouver, Canada, on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We train and support nearly 300 anti-violence programs and cross-sector initiatives across the province that respond to sexual and intimate partner violence, child abuse, and criminal harassment.
We support our anti-violence programs, provide extra value to our members, increase coordination of services in the community, work to forward culture change and consult with and advocate to the government on issues that can help improve the work of programs and communities to support survivors.
Our mission: works collaboratively to improve prevention and response systems that support communities impacted by gender-based violence, harassment and hate. We envision a society free from gender-based violence. Our core values: Respect, Collaboration, Integrity and Compassion.
EVA BC believes that promoting visibility, inclusive programming, and trans-inclusive services is essential to the eradication of gender-based violence.
