What we do
Elmwood Residences was established in 1969 as a community-based residential support service for adults living with intellectual disabilities. The intention was and continues to be that we provide support that reflects a family home environment that cares for our residents throughout their life that nurtures growth, well-being, choice and inclusion.
Elmwood delivers high-quality care and services to residents with complex medical, intellectual and physical needs through our eleven Community Homes, Kinsmen Manor and Supportive Independent Living Program. Our residents are supported by a team of Disability Support Professionals, Nurses and Recreational Coordinators whom provide exceptional person-centred support to ensure that every aspect of the individuals needs are being explored and met. In addition to providing medical care we offer financial trust services, and a robust Community Inclusion Program. Programming is developed and implemented ensuring that residents live fulfilled lives.
