DSRF provides educational programs and services to individual with Down syndrome, their families and the professional working with them. Programs include: Speech-language therapy; Occupational therapy; Reading and Communications; One-to-One Reading tutoring; Music in Motion; Summer school; Language Express; Transition programs; Money Math & Budgeting, Social Communication & Navigation, and Reading Comprehension; and Lectures and Workshops for medical professionals, researchers and families. DSRG maintains a multi-media library as well as an informative website. DSRF also initiates and participates in research projects to further empower individuals with Down syndrome.

In 2017 DSRF hosted its conference, From Good to Great, in Toronto. We added to our New Parents Series of workshops with our Family Series and our Educators Series. We offered our new progra, One-to-One Math tutoring. We also produced an informational communication video, Understanding and Expression of Language in Down syndrome, which is available on our website.
